Napoleonic RHA.

Another Christmas present finally painted up. This time it is the Royal Horse Artillery in 28mm. When I first saw them I couldn't wait to get paint on them but I really struggled to get them done.

Scots Greys in support.

Foot and horse artillery with some infantry lurking in the background.

All the artillery figures are Front Rank.

ANZAC Day.

Today is the day that Kiwis and Aussies take a moment or two to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for YOU and ME. Make some time today to think of the many men and women who have given their lives for their country.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

A very old postcard that I have with a photo of ANZAC Cove on the front.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

We will remember them.
