Bolt Action Germans

At last I have based up some more of the Warlord Games WW2 German troops. Painting was finished a few weeks ago , I am just a bit slow at getting round to doing the bases.

White Squad.
I decided to use flowers on the bases to identify the different squads. In a couple of the games I have been at there was some confusion at times about which figures were part of which squad.

The first squad has yellow flowers ( see February's posts).

Although these squads are only 5 fig's strong I intend to get another box and beef up all the squads.

The Normandy Box Set only has 20 Germans, so I have gone for three squads of 5 fig's, a two man Sniper team and a three man Command group.

  11. Great look, Rodger. The picture of the troops about to enter a building with all the brick etc. clutter in the doorway is a great shot. Maybe someone inside is waiting to ambush a Bosch or three.

  12. Great Germans Rodger! The red flowers look excellent and that is a really original way of distinguishing units.

  13. Reinforcements are on the way Rodg. I've just purchased a box of Late War Germans to help flesh out your force so we can take on the 'Russian Bear' Alias Dave Houston.
Very nice Germans BTW. Not so sure about big tough soldiers carrying bunches of flowers into battle though....maybe 'flower power' is the new Nazi wonder weapon?

  16. A great idea for colour coding the bases without it spoiling the look of the figure. May have to pinch this idea.
