I have finally finished painting these guys. I had half of the unit for several years but only ordered the remaining figures in August. I painted them in October and eventually got round to basing them over the Christmas break.
The Carabiniers have always been one of my favourite Napoleonic units, the big red helmet crest , the brass/copper cuirass and mounted on dark horses must have made an impressive sight on Napoleonic battlefields all over Europe.
Front Rank figures and the flag is by GMB.
They are beautiful. Fantastic work and thanks for sharing your pictures.
ReplyDeleteThese are a great looking unit, Rodger. Very imposing for some poor foot-slogger that has to face them. We must be close to having another 28mm Napoleonic game. Geoff wants to have a zombie game this week at my place but I'm not sure how that would go down with the rest of the lads. What are your thoughts?
ReplyDeleteThey really turned out just great!

ReplyDeleteWOW! I was cruising Al Gore's internet looking for someone who had painted Front Rank Carabiniers. There web site doesn't show any of these fellas painted up. I'm glad I came across these. Any Guard Chasseurs forthcoming?...those look cool too!
