Came across these the other day while sorting out some stuff. Made and painted a few years back and turns out that these are all the WW2 vehicles that I own that I have made and painted! I do have a few others but they are not my work.
No idea what brand they are but I see I made them for 2nd Panzer Division.
I'm picking that the plan was for late war!
Lovely work Rodger.
ReplyDeletemight be wrong but look very much like the matchbox ones
ReplyDeleteSweet! They look nice prowling the roads and fields.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I'm pretty sure they are Matchbox (re-released by Revell). I wonder if the German ever actually had three Pumas in the same place at the same time?
ReplyDeleteVery nice indeed - like the way you've done the three colour disruptive pattern :)
ReplyDeleteGreat vehicles Rodger!
ReplyDeleteFantastic Pumas!
ReplyDeletePhil.
Nice looking cammo on the bad boys!
ReplyDeleteAs recon vehicles go, the Puma packs quite a presence! A vehicle type that you probably won't get to use very often, but it's nice to have in your inventory, methinks. I have four of my own, 3 matchbox, I think and a slightly bigger one.
ReplyDeleteNice vehicles, Rodger. What rule set do you play? In Command Decision terms, those three models would represent a company of 15!
I like those buildings you have used as a backdrop, as well. Source?
Cheers,
Ion
Thanks Ion. Rules.... These haven't been used for years, but I think we used them with Rapid Fire. The buildings are from Ironhorse hobbies in St Asaph St. Easy to make and not a bad price from memory.
DeleteIron Horse, eh? I don't believe I've stepped foot in their shop since they moved from Manchester Street... or was it Madras...? Must drop in some time! Come to think of it though, I have so many buildings I probably ought to desist getting too many more...
DeleteCheers -
Great looking Pumas Rodger! Must admit I like thsee fast scout vehciles in my FoW gaming, and they can also pack a punch!
ReplyDeleteNice work indeed! I think AFvs like the Puma get missed in favour of Tigers and Panthers, though their contribution was probably more important in reality
ReplyDeleteJust starting out in late war Western Front myself, in 15mm though
Very nice work there Rodger
ReplyDeleteLooks good. clean lines.
ReplyDeleteNice menacing-looking kitties! I'm impressed with the cammo, I could never get that right.
ReplyDeleteFF
Very nice looking Pumas Rodger !
ReplyDeleteBest regards Michael
Quality paintwork on this trio.
ReplyDeleteVery cool looking recon unit. Love the late-War camo too. Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteGreat work Roger!
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Bart
Very fine models Rodger. Always nice to see recce units. We don't use them enough in our gaming, I think. Dd you hand paint the divisional markings and German crosses? If so, you did a fine job.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Mike
Thanks Mike. Yes I painted the Div markings , the crosses and the numbers.
Deletenice work! I love the looks of these Pumas... they could almost fit into a modern battlefield without too many strange looks.
ReplyDeletegreat work from long ago, great backdrops and lets hope good vehicles for gaming
Mmmmm Matchbox Puma's. You can tell by the jerrican details on the fenders. Well put together and looked after (The bumper bars are usually the first to go) but the highlight is the paintwork.
ReplyDeleteLovely work Rodger.
Niced models and great camo!
ReplyDeleteRegards
Bruno

ReplyDeleteRegards
Hobbyworker.
I seem to recall these same Pumas having whopping great holes blown in them by some rather tenacious American Paras in one of our many encounters...back in the day when I had a Wargames Room!
ReplyDeleteDon't know what brand they are but they look very good! Nice painted models!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Peter
