With our Gettysburg refight coming up in July I needed to paint up more Rebels for my part in the game. Here is another 8 stands to go with my rather small force that is painted so far.
The figures are all from Renegade Miniatures.
Check out our Harper's Weekly blog, dedicated to the Gettysburg refight for photos of the rest of my Rebel Infantry and photos of some of the troops from other participants in the game .
Excellent painting Roger,
ReplyDeleteYeeeeeeeehaaaa!
ReplyDeleteThey're enough to have Billy Yank quaking in his boots!
Lovely work, Rodger.
An impressive array, Rodger. I've just spent a pleasant several minutes trawling through the Harper's Ferry blog - some very able miniatures painters out there!
ReplyDeleteLovely work !!!
ReplyDeletebest regards Michael
Great looking unit Rodger!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Rodger. The red on the drum draws my eye to it immediately: Charge!!
ReplyDeleteNice unit :)
ReplyDeleteLove the variety..youve got those renegade figures looking really good!
Realy nice Rodger...I want to play Confederate now!
ReplyDeletePhil.

ReplyDeleteVery nice unit. I like them.
ReplyDeleteBest regards,

As you know I have no sympathy for your indefensible cause but one cant help but admire such great painting.
ReplyDeletePhil should be aware that changing sides is treason and is punishable by firing squad!!....not that we take our wargaming too seriously of course.
"not that we take our wargaming too seriously of course." Say what???
DeleteDon't go attacking Phil just because he has seen the light my friend! Not all of us wear Union Blue spec's!
Very nicely done Rodger! I like the way you've photographed them with the trees behind them. Keep painting!!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking units Rodger.
ReplyDeleteI realy love that unit Roger great work :)

Hobbyworker.
They look fantastic Rodger- Nice and animated. How do Renegade compare to other ACW ranges? Ive been put off by their Carthaginains Cav (look like dwarves riding massive horses) and the cricket bat wielding Celts.
ReplyDeleteCraig
I haven't had them side by side yet, but I suspect they are a bit bigger than the Perrys. I know that Gav has some plastic Perrys that he is painting up, when they are done we will do a photo of them together.
DeleteWonderful looking rebs there Roger. Likewise would be interested to know how they compare with Perry Miniatures?
ReplyDeleteWell done I say and I like the mix of browns and greys.
ReplyDeleteChristopher
Great looking unit, Roger. I really like how you painted the attachments for the colours. Really pops. Best, Dean
ReplyDeleteLovely unit Rodger. And yes Renegade are noticebly larger than other manufactures. I've kept my Renegade Regiments in a seperate brigade(all manufacturers get their own Brigade)and that works fine for me.
