Last week we had a small game using Gav's Samurai figures.
I can't remember all the different names of the troops types so I will just simply show you the photos I took.
The rules used were a modified version of the LotR rules. Similar to the rules we use for our Dark Age games.
This was really just a trial game to try out the rules.
Very colourful looking troops and an enjoyable game.
That looks amazing, what a great game Rodger.
ReplyDeleteThese figures are simply gorgeous, so many beautiful details!
ReplyDeleteThat looks great, Rodger!
ReplyDeleteVery cool. Even with a relatively simple layout, you've captured the 'feel' of Japan. What make are the figures?
ReplyDeleteI think they are all Wargames Factory, but I could be wrong. Gav is away at present so I will try and find out when I next catch up with him.
DeleteMoi.
ReplyDeleteFantastic characters.
Excellent handprint, as always.
Wondering looking game there and those samurai look the biz
ReplyDeleteReally nice painted figures! Great pictures! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGreetings
Peter
Looks like a fun game and the terrain and minis looks great to.
ReplyDeleteGreat work and pics . Fun game !
ReplyDeleteCheers .
Nice looking field of battle and troops. In those days, the opponents went out to battle in some really fine looking clothes.
ReplyDeleteSome beautiful shots here Rodger. Especially the close-ups near those pine trees. I particularly like the mounted figure. The way the main is back against the wind adds to the feel of the charge.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others, amazing figures. I always afraid of watching Samurai games reports becouse every time have an idea of paint some for myself. So far I am strong enough to resist of this, but after this raport the first thing was checking the Perry's range of Samurai...
ReplyDeleteCareful there Bart!
DeleteGreat looking samurai, Rodger. I recognize some as Wargames Factory, I think? Very nicely painted up.
ReplyDeleteThat mounted Samurai breaking through the trees looks impressive, a fine collection.
ReplyDeleteAs others have said, a beautiful looking game. I have a deep fondness for Samurai. I've got some figures, and actually managed to play a game of Ronin by Osprey. It's a great little skirmish level game, heaps of fun :-) How did your game play out?
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul. Game seem to play out pretty well but I believe there are some minor tweeks that will be made.
DeleteNice looking game!
ReplyDeleteLovely Rodger, beautiful troops!
ReplyDeleteSome really nice looking figures Rodger!
ReplyDeleteA good looking game Rodger, thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteBloody lovely figures Rodger.
ReplyDeleteLooks splendid!
ReplyDeleteNice looking game and table :)
ReplyDeleteGot some but never played with my Samurai!
