Arms and Uniforms, The Age of Chivalry, Part 2, by Liliane and Fred Funcken.
Having a castle with walls that need knocking down has also helped to encourage me.
Managed to fill in a Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago.
Mostly made from balsa wood.
Ready to fire.
The figures are Gripping Beast plastic Dark Age warriors with Perry's Plastic Medieval heads.
The other two crew members are loading up another sling with a large rock in preparation for the next round.
I haven't made up any rules for the use of a trebuchet yet, but for now it can just be for decoration on the table.

ReplyDeleteNo worries Brendon, be my quest!
DeleteStunning! Really looks as if it's to fire at that castle any moment.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very fine piece of scratch building. I was momentarily gobsmacked as my first thought was "where can I buy one of these?" Very fine. The wattle fence in the background is lovely (almost as lovely as the castle in the background). Is the wattle fencing by Renendra?
ReplyDeleteThanks Michael. The fences are scratchbuilt as well. Skewers for the posts and soft wire woven through for the fencing.
DeleteTop notch modelling. No doubt you'll be using it in that 'steampunk' game...it's an insider joke.

ReplyDeleteYou might not believe this but, I hadn't thought of that!
DeleteI will bring to our next Steampunk game but you have to make up the rules for its use!
Fantastic build, Rodger! Looks better than anything available on the market. It all looks like a museum display.
